Infocenter — The Elbhang Festival

Once a year, on the last weekend in June, the landscape between Loschwitz and Pillnitz is transformed into one big festival area. In five towns along the Elbe slope, on a stretch of about seven kilometres, on village squares, in parks and villas, on the banks of the Elbe and on the slopes, there are about 200 different events.

An art and civic festival in one, the Elbhangfest offers concerts (from flute to rock), theatre and dance events, readings and special offers for children. In all the villages on the Elbe slope there are markets for local handicrafts, plus various gastronomic offerings. Guided tours and lectures allow encounters with the region, its stories are told and its curiosities. In addition, events of young art will present modern contemporary spirit. A large parade opens the weekend.
